Physical Access Monitor · Live on Indiegogo

Latch

Blind, silent, uncompromising physical security.

A sealed, battery-powered sensor that knows the instant a door, cabinet, locker or container is opened, moved or struck — using no cameras and no microphones. It sends a push notification when real physical access happens. Nothing else. Nothing recorded.

The anti-camera

Surveillance cameras invade your privacy, need mains power and generate gigabytes of footage nobody watches. Latch is the opposite of that.

Pillar 01

100% Privacy-First

No camera. No microphone. Latch protects your things without watching you do anything. It knows a door opened — it has no idea who walked through it, and no way to record it. Built for Airbnbs, rented rooms, shared offices and bedrooms.

Pillar 02

Zero Subscription Trap

You do not become a hostage to a monthly bill. The local event log and BLE notifications work out of the box, free, for the entire service life of the device. Cloud is an option you choose — never a toll you pay to keep the hardware working.

Pillar 03

2-Year Battery, Zero Wiring

Magnet-mount it in three seconds and forget it for two years. No cable runs, no drilling, no recharging every couple of months. One industrial lithium-thionyl chloride cell carries it through 12–24 months of real use.

Two sensors. No false alarms.

A passing truck shakes a door. A dropped bag knocks a cabinet. Motion alone cannot tell those apart from an actual opening — so Latch cross-checks the accelerometer against a barometric pressure step before it calls it an event.

Barometric spike (ΔP)

Bosch BMP388

Opening a sealed door, container or cabinet produces a measurable pressure step. Latch sees that step — the physical signature of an enclosure being breached.

6-axis motion & shock

TDK InvenSense ICM-42688-P

A microamp-class IMU running on hardware interrupt catches movement, tilt and impact without keeping the main processor awake.

Tamper switch

Physical rear-cover switch

Try to pry the device off its mount and it fires an alarm event immediately — before the sensor can be pocketed or disabled.

What's inside

Nine parts, one sealed disc — no wires leaving the enclosure

Latch exploded view — polycarbonate top shell, PCB with ESP32 microcontroller, IMU, barometer and antenna, ER14505 lithium cell, IP67 gasket, 3M VHB adhesive layer and magnetic base
Latch physical access monitor — matte black sealed disc with status LED
Sealed against the weather
IP67 rubber gasket between shell and base. Rain, dust and washdown are non-events.
Quick-Snap magnetic base
Snap it on in three seconds; 3M VHB tape backs it where steel isn't available.
−40 °C to +85 °C
The lithium-thionyl chloride cell keeps working in unheated garages, sheds and containers.
Interrupt-driven, always asleep
The MCU stays in deep sleep until a sensor interrupt wakes it. That's where the two years come from.

Latch in motion

Anything that should stay shut

If it opens, moves or gets hit, Latch will tell you

Front & back doors

Know the moment a door opens — without a camera pointed at your hallway.

Key boxes & lockers

Airbnb key safes, coworking lockers and staff cabinets, logged and alerted.

Containers & crates

Sealed shipping containers and tool crates, monitored on LoRa far from Wi-Fi.

Cabinets & storerooms

Pharmacy cupboards, server racks, stockrooms — anything that should stay shut.
